There is a medical condition that can be helped by smoking appx 1 cigarette a daylight... I can't remember the name of it, but it be mentioned on the show "House" and it is real.
the simply medical thing I know of involving tobacco is if you take stung by a wasp or bee after removing the stinger applying wet tobacco to the sting will product it stop hurting by neutralizing the toxin
when I was infantile my granddad used his tobacco on a wasp sting to help the swelling progress down untill they got me to the hospital.
